Comic Con Recap: Supernatural
Comic Con Recap: Supernatural

I’ve been a fan of Supernatural for a long time now.  There’s magic, and mayhem, and monsters, and the apocalypse.  So there’s a lot to like for me on this show.  So when I had the chance to talk with some of the cast and the creative forces behind the show at Comic Con last weekend, I was in.

So let’s get to it.  Jared Padalecki stopped by our table to give us some insight into season 9.  He couldn’t spoil anything, but he did give us a hint as to themes for next season, and broke down a little teaser for an early episode next season.

Next up we have Bob Singer.  Bob has been the Executive Producer since the show started.  This was his first trip to Comic Con and he was clearly pleased with the reception the show has garnered.  He talks about keeping the show fresh going into season 9, and at around the 3:00 minute mark he gives us some cool scoop on a Supernatural Spinoff.  He doesn’t go into a ton of detail, but I have my own conspiracy theory about the spinoff.

Now we have Jeremy Carver.  He’s the Show Runner on Supernatural.  He’s the guy responsible for the day to day execution on the show.  We press him for details on the spinoff, but he’s pretty tight lipped about it.  He does tease an episode that I’m really looking forward to about the Men of Letters.

So here’s my completely unwarranted theory about the spinoff.  Men of Letters.  Will that be what it’s about?  I have no idea.  Would I watch that?  You bet.  I love the idea of the Men of Letters.  I love the idea of a show based on the early book keepers of all things weird.  Am I right?  Only time will tell.

FILE - In this March 5, 2009 file photo, Michael Jackson is shown at a press conference in London. Testimony from AEG Live executive Paul Gongaware on his interactions with Jackson and his negotiations with the singer’s doctor dominated the fifth week of a civil case against the company filed by the superstar’s mother, Katherine. On Tuesday May 28, 2013, Gongaware reluctantly acknowledged that he negotiated the $150,000 per month rate that Jackson’s doctor expected to be paid to serve on the “This Is It” tour.

A look at the Hollywood headlines that made history.
