Breckenridge Avalanche
Breckenridge Avalanche

This is one of the first beers that Matt and I both really haven’t been all that excited about.  It’s Avalanche Amber Ale, and it just didn’t do it for either one of us.  It starts off kind of sweet and caramelly with a bit of a roasty-ness.  But in the end it left a very metallic after taste.  Plus it was a bit watery and quite simply under whelming.  We both gave it a 6, but upon further reflection, my initial score of a 5 was more apt, and Matt agrees.  So we gave it a 6, but rounded it down to a 5.  But suit yourself, it may be right up your alley.  But I’m sure you’ll be able to find more fulfilling amber ales out there.
