On Tap is brought to you by Rosati’s Pizza, 701 S. Gregory, Urbana.

Shane couldn’t be here today, so pinch hitting once again is Sissy, our beer ringer.  This time we’ve gone back to the Ale Asylum for their Ambergeddon brew.

We were immediately surprised by this beer.  With a name like Ambergeddon, we anticipated an amber lager on steroids, and maybe that’s what we’ve got.  But there’s a bunch of hops in there as well.  But the hops aren’t just thrown in there, they are blended really well to accentuate the solid amber ale that is the back bone of this brew.  There’s the flavor and bitterness of the hops, the maltyness and breadiness of an amber.  There’s a bunch going on here and we all liked it.

My Rating:  7.5

Sissy’s Rating:  8.5

Ryan’s Rating:  7.7

We felt you couldn’t go wrong by pairing this up with Rosati’s Veggie Deluxe Double Dough pizza.

Today in entertainment history: Nov. 26

FILE - In this March 5, 2009 file photo, Michael Jackson is shown at a press conference in London. Testimony from AEG Live executive Paul Gongaware on his interactions with Jackson and his negotiations with the singer’s doctor dominated the fifth week of a civil case against the company filed by the superstar’s mother, Katherine. On Tuesday May 28, 2013, Gongaware reluctantly acknowledged that he negotiated the $150,000 per month rate that Jackson’s doctor expected to be paid to serve on the “This Is It” tour.

A look at the Hollywood headlines that made history.
