So here’s a weird one.

Rock Hard Red from Gray’s Brewing.  I bought it because the name was cool and there’s a cool lookin’ dog on the front.  It’s a berry flavored malt beverage that should be served over ice.  Ok, I get it.  So I pop open the first one and out pours this light golden, almost straw colored, beverage.  Ok.  Bit of a surprise.  Then I open the second one, and out pours this bright red, almost Kool-Aid colored beverage.  Wha?

After some investigating we figure the red is actually Rock Hard Red.  The straw colored one is actually Wisco Wheat from Gray’s Brewing.  Apparently they mislabeled a batch (or two) of the Wisco Wheat.  So we did a quick review of the Rock Hard Red.  It’s ok.  If you like fruity malt drinks that taste like Kool Aid, this is right up your alley.

The Wisco Wheat though, this thing was really good.  Very citrus/lemon aroma and flavor right up front with a really smooth wheat finish.  We all liked it.  Ryan, Shane, and I all gave it a solid 8.0.

Shane paired it up with their new fried chicken (available starting Monday 8/12).  Talk about a great Summer combo, this is it.

In this photo released by Fox, Homer explains why he wants to bring back the annual 4th of July fireworks display, after it's cancelled for budget reasons, in the "Yellow Badge of Cowardge" Season Finale episode of "The Simpsons," in May 2014. The full 25-year run of "The Simpsons" will arrive on cable channel FXX with a summer marathon, to be paired this fall with a digital extravaganza that could turn other TV shows yellow with envy. "I'm not going to over-promise, but I think this website will provide you with affordable health care," longtime "Simpsons" executive producer Al Jean told a TV critics' meeting Monday, July 21, 2014.
