On Tap is brought to you by Rosatit’s Pizza, 701 S. Gregory in Urbana.

This time around, I thought we’d try something Summer that was a bit different.  So, it’s Watermelon Wheat from Horny Goat Brewing.  This on surprised us.  We all thought it would be a strong wheat flavor with a bit of watermelon after taste.  Instead we got a pretty up front watermelon flavor with some smooth wheat finish.  All in all, a pretty unique and refreshing take on a Summer seasonal.

Ryan and I both gave this one a straight up 7.0, while Shane liked it just a bit more and served up a 7.5.

Now when it comes to pairing this Summer treat up with food, Shane thinks a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich would work perfectly.  The spice in the sandwich would complement the sweetness in the beer.  A good combo.

Give it whirl.
