Winter Beer Extravaganza: Part 2
Winter Beer Extravaganza: Part 2

On Tap is brought to you by Rosati’s Pizza, 701 S. Gregory, Urbana.  328-2334.

Round two keeps the Elf beers rolling with Very Bad Elf and a Christmas Devil known as Krampus.

Round two proved to be a bit difficult.  We were expecting more hops out of the Very Bad Elf.  In retrospect, I don’t know why.  If we read the label we would have known.  But what we did get was higher alcohol content.  See, as the Elves get “badder” the ABV goes up.  Any way, Very Bad Elf only ok ratings of a 5 from both me and Ryan and Shane down graded it to a 4.  Now, I will say, I liked this elf better than the Bad Elf, but now that I had some context, I think I over rated the Bad Elf.  Regardless, I stand by my rating.

Krampus had the room divided.  By that I mean that Ryan loved it and Shane and I didn’t.  Ryan gave this one a straight up 8.0 and Shane and I both gave it a 4.  Shane and I agree though that this is a pretty quality beer, it’s just wasn’t our mug o beer.
