Winter Beer Extravaganza: Part 4

So here we are with our last two beers:  Criminally Bad Elf, and Mikkeller.  Things were getting pretty weird in the studio at this point.  I’ll break it down for you from just a ratings standpoint.

Criminally Bad Elf may have been our favorite of the Elf beers.  Ryan gave it a 6.5, Shane gave it a 8.5, and I gave it a 7.  That’s a pretty solid offering.

Mikkeller rounded things out, and by this time I didn’t have any idea which end was up.  I think my taster got knocked sideways early on.  Shane was getting pineapple upside-down cake, I was getting spices.  I don’t know.  Either way we all gave this one a 7.

So what have we learned here?  Well, first up, you can have a “holiday” beer and not have to dump a pound of spices in it.  Second, elf rate their badness by their level of intoxication.  Third, Ryan lost his taste buds in a camp fire accident.
